Maskarra festival

Brilliant weekend in Bacolod for the Maskarra festival. The two day event was a cacophony of noise, colour, masks and costumes. The festival was part Mardi Gras, part dance eistedford...over 50 local groups all decked in costumes and masks danced their way through the city streets finishing at the city square where they perfomed a high energy 5 minute dance performance. The performances were truly memorable- as well as the costumes and masks there were balloons, streamers, confetti, paper mache props and even doves being released into the sky.
