Stranded in Cebu

Just when I thought the rainy season had ended... Typhoon "Milenyo" stormed through Manila today and from all accounts it caused a lot of damage. It also meant all flights into Manila were cancelled leaving me stranded in Cebu. I feel very lucky to have missed the power cuts and flooding but I am a bit bummed that I also missed the first officially sanctioned sleep in- all my colleagues were told not to report to work today due to the weather.
