Weekending

A jam packed and very fun weekend. Highlights included:

- Random concert going
Went with some other Manila-living volunteers to a big Philippines concert on Saturday night. Bands included " The Down" and "Bamboo" both of who are very popular here.

- "Walk on the Childs Side" Walkathon
Walkathon to raise money for UNICEF which started at very early hour on Sunday. The whole concept of a walkathon is a bit of a strange one for the Philippines due to the fact that most people never walk anywhere if there is a jeepney or tricyle available! Despite that the event was really successful- about 700 people turned up with most opting for the 2.5km walk. I powered on for a whole 5km which is not far in my books but seemed impressive to some.

By wildly camp hair dresser who reeled off a list of Hollywood celebs he thought I looked like. In your ( and my!) dreams mate!
