Rocking Roxas

Travelled to the town of Roxas in Mindoro on the weekend. Roxas is not a usual tourist destination but it is currently home to Liz, one of the craziest and loveliest Aussie volunteers in the Philippines so hence the visit.

Getting to Roxas was an eight hour journey involving a bus, boat and finally a mini- van (with a mere 17 people squashed in!) . Quite an adventure but well worth it - was great to see where Liz lives, visit the school she works in and meet her friends. We zoomed around on motorbikes exploring the town on Saturday and in the evening had a party with tragic karaoke and dancing with most of the town in attendance. Even had the priest there...although he did leave early as he had to be up for 6am mass- a poor excuse!
