Yesterday I went on a walking tour of Binondo; Manila's Chinatown and San Nicolas. The tour was guided by the fabulous
Carlos, a proud Manilenyo who loves showing off his city. We started the tour in a horse- drawn coach looking at some amazing old buildings that survived the bombings of WWII. The second part of the tour was a stroll through Chinatown with Carlos taking us to a his favourite bakeries, restaurants and a Taoist temple. It was great to learn more about the Manila's history and a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
