Asleep at the wheel

On my taxi ride home yesterday the driver was asleep at the wheel- literally! Caught him nodding off on EDSA, possibly the most dangerous road in Manila. It's a five lane highway so definitely not the place for a nap. Managed to wake him up and jump out of the cab deciding it was much safer to walk home....I had heard that taxi drivers here do 24 hour shifts. Now I believe it!
